Michael Naimark
Resident Artist at Google VR

In the name of real-world immersive capture, Michael Naimark has dealt with locals in Aspen, street hookers in Paris, eco-activists in Banff, bomb squad defusers in Jerusalem, camel drivers in Timbuktu, soldiers in Cambodia, and protestors on Wall Street.

And in the name of producing immersive public art experiences, he has rotated viewers on motorized floors and spray-painted living rooms white. His projects and writings rank #1 on Google searches for consumer immersive viewer, VR webcams, live global video, and camera zapper (as well as for feeling lucky list); he occasionally serves as faculty at USC Cinema's Interactive Media Division, NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, and the MIT Media Lab; and he's currently Resident Artist in Google's new VR group.
